Central Garden & Pet Company Names Janet M. Brady Senior Vice President, Human Resources

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Central Garden & Pet Company (NASDAQ: CENT) (NASDAQ: CENTA), a leading innovator, marketer and producer of quality branded products for the lawn and garden and pet supplies market, today announced the appointment of Janet M. Brady as Senior Vice President, Human Resources effective February 7, 2011. Ms. Brady will report to William E. Brown, Central's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Ms. Brady was an executive at The Clorox Company from 1976 to 2003 and served as its vice president, human resources from 1993 to 2003.
